Redesign gives decorator a virtual makeover
Barbara Gilbert, founder of Barbara Gilbert Interiors and the one of a kind Design in a Binder® program has a unique gift of turning ordinary spaces into must-see places. She learned about Creative Cranes after a recommendation from Sydni Craig-Hart (founder of EAtoVA and Smart Simple Marketing).
Barbara approached us to redesign her website and to implement new strategies to market her business.
The Challenge
After reviewing her New Project form and a short consultation, we were ready to get the ball rolling. Barbara had a few requirements which were important to her business:
- Be able to sell the Design in a Binder® package directly from the website
- Bring in targeted customers from organic searches
- Passively market her services using her newsletter
- Start blogging for added exposure.
The Solution
We came up with the following ideas to meet Barbara’s requirements:
- WordPress based content management system (CMS)
Barbara and her team can publish blog posts and update pages without any technical training or expensive software. - Fully customized design
A slideshow on the main page and a separate portfolio page allow visitors to see Barbara’s latest projects with ease. - Online shopping cart
Let visitors buy the Design in a Binder® package directly from the website using their credit card or Paypal. - Newsletter sign-up box
A great way to build a list and generate leads. All subscribers get a free interior design guide.
Jay is a great listener and creator! He took as much time as I needed to listen and explain things to me. I found him to be very thorough, articulate and considerate and I am very pleased with the way my site turned out.
